I really enjoyed this for the scenes of Carnival life. A very touching and caring portrayal of the Carnie life, at a time when they were especially not respected. THe romance is sweet, and of course there is a happy ending. THe orphanage life is also well drawn, having a grandmother that grew up in an orphanage I can say it was written true to life. The ending is weak, but I feel the author had a good feel about orphanage and carnival life.Product details

This story was OK, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. There was nothing wrong with the story but it moved along a little slower than I thought it would.
It's so nice to be able to download books like this - a compelling story that keeps my interest without having to skip pages from embarrassment over the content!
Sally is a responsible, hard working orphan who finds kindness, love, and protection in a strange place. Don't want to give away the plot. Well written with believable characters.
